Sample Sale News: Gilt Expands Lower Price Options!

Gilt.com announced they are launching a new online sample sale outlet called Gilt Fuse.  It's aimed at a younger crowd with affordable prices - something I can truly embrace!  I have written about the proliferation of online sample sales: RueLaLa, HauteLook, MiniSocial.  In my experience, the clothes I have bought on Gilt have come the a quickest and they offer good customer service.  This new annoucement makes me pretty excited to shop for fall clothes!  Launching August 12.

Get A Deal: Cap-Sleeve Wrap Dress

Garnet Hill has a great sale on an easy wearing dress.  Check out this Cap-Sleeve Wrap Dress.  Great for curvy mommy bodies and easy to throw on in the morning.  Right now, it's just $49 (reg $78).  It comes in four colors.

Trend Spotting: Lululemon Yoga Pants

Lululemon is all the buzz right now.  They have created a massive cult following that feels like it came out of nowhere.  Devotees have created blogs and their Facebook group has over 56,000 fans.  The press is even calling it a cult.  The key piece is the Groove Pant that supposedly will make your backside look amazing.  The prices are a little ridiculous but wearers swear it's worth every penny.  I am hoping to visit the Park Slope store near my house and will report back!

Buying Tip: Check out ebay for deals.  These clothes have amazing resale value.  Also, rumor has it that their are deals to be had as Lululemon rolls out their fall line.

Comfortable Sandals: Gizeh Birko-Flor Thong

My sister-in-law treated us to a fun photoshoot today with a great photographer who just happened to be super stylish!  I noticed she had the great shoes that also looked extremely comfortable - and to my surprise, they were Birkenstocks!  Check out the Gizeh Birko-Flor line.  They come in a million colors but I love the collection of patent leather shiny styles.  They follow the trend for thongs that is so hot this summer but hold up way better than flip flops and give your feet some support.

Pretty Sweet! Sweet Summer Dresses for Less than $30

American Eagle is running a great clearance on summer dresses.  Right about now, I am getting a little tired of all my summer clothes and starting to wish for sweaters and jeans.  The perfect cure is a couple of last minute entries to get me through the dog days of August!  My favorites include this Cross Back Dress ($24.95) and Tiered Dress ($9.95).

Get A Deal: Born Oxford On Sale!

The big sports store Cabela's (the one with with the stuffed dead animals!) is having a big sale.  In all my years of shopping, I have discovered that it's sales like this that have some of the best deals.  Take this pair of Born Oxfords.  Stylish yet perfect for a mom that has to walk a million miles each day!  Regular shoe stores rarely put the Born brand on sale but sports stores look at their inventory differently and there are deals to be had for the discerning shopper!

Fall Shopping: Norma Kamali Cardigan

Since I continue to adore my Norma Kamali jersey dress from Walmart, I wanted to revisit the collection for my fall shopping.  I found this simple linen/cotton cardigan that looks like a good addition.  It's a lightweight cardigan that would be perfect to keep the chill off in overly airconditioned spaces and transition into the cool days of fall.  At just $18 with .97 shipping, I say jump on it!

Fall Shopping: The Boyfriend Sweater
